Barbel ranged from 3 to 9lb and came in bursts throughout the day. We moved around and found a few fish in most swims both in woods and in the meadow

We couldn't risk the drive down the hill to the river without a 4X4 and its a big walk from the top of the hill and back. Nice beat though but there could be anglers on the opposite bank. River in nice condition/colour
