Good morning, but as the river dropped it went quiet from about 3pm. The “other” was an eel.

River level constant with good flow. Sunny day but not to hot. Fish caught throughout the day. Silkweed still a problem but not as bad as the previous day. All fish caught on luncheon meat except one Barbel on pellet. Biggest Barbel 7lb 5oz, Chub a good average size of 4lb. The 3 others were Eels

Water was coloured today and they appeared not to be really biting. Forget luncheon meat as you will be plagued by eels.

A tricky day, the chub were very cagey and no sign of the barbel. A nice beat though with great scenery and some cracking looking spots. The thunderstorms kept away which was lucky because we would never have made it back up the track if it was wet!

River was well up and coloured but managed to land three barbel and a chub, including a barbel on the last cast of the season. Cracking fishery although the drive up the hill in the wet was a little fraught

3 Barbel, 1 Chub
