Only fished a couple of hours very early before the sun got too hot. A great stretch of the river but no fish caught.

Caught 2 chub on standard feeder and pellet set up. Both fish taken before 06:30. Lovely part of the river, just way too hot, river too low, please please please let it rain.

First time on this stretch, just went for the evening and spent most the time walking the stretch. Struggled with the weed in my chosen swim at the top of the stretch so moved down opposite the woods which I've fished before on the Courtfield ticket on the other bank. Had one bite and one fish of around 5lb. River needs some water on it, very low and slow. Nice stretch though with good access, shame you can't park up by your swim as the car parks were a bit of a walk although you can drop your tackle off but didn't seem much point as I travel pretty light. Interesting to see the river from the other bank as I've fished Courtfield and Bishopswood a fair bit before.

Clear and very hot. River low and clear, not ideal. Canoists were a disgrace had a party of 10 idiots decide to jump in directly in front. Pegs not as defined as led to believe on website.
Fish caught between 10am and 3pm. No bites at all 3pm till 8pm. Fishing pellet and cage feeder with pva bag of pellet each cast. 3 chub with one at 5.5lb. A PB for me on the Wye. One double figure barbel lost at net. A plus point were the number of salmon jumping were half a dozen 20lb+ fish were seen. Overall dissapointing day spoilt by weather and canoists behaviour.

Absolutely superb!

This is barbel and chub fishing at its best. Fished feeder on pellet hookbait. First half hour quiet whilst the fish moved in, then constant savage takes from then on! Stayed at the Falcon House B&B, with an interesting and unusual parliament of owls in residence.

Fished the faster flow in low water conditions for just an afternoon, before the long journey home after an excellent weeks fishing this great river. Canoes were an occasional mild irritation but were generally polite and not too obtrusive.
