I bought a day ticket yet due to heavy rain in the am i fished the evening. 5 fish around 1lb each taking Adam’s dry flys . The bottom of the beat was steep banked and deep water so best for low water conditions. The upper beat was nice to fish wih waders . Bank fishing would be difficult

Nothing caught, hot and bright. Access to the lower beat is challenging, but stunning beat with prolific hatches and fish rising in the slower pools.

Yet another superb day on this wonderful river. Insects of various species and sizes hatched all day. Lots of rising fish but for the most part they were focusing on the small stuff and even then mostly sub surface. Once the code was broken, the results were spectacular. Best fish 20”, 1x 17.5”, 3x 16” and the rest in the 14”-11” range. Most caught on a #18 para emerger on 6X tippet. Heart pounding stuff !

4 trout to 1lb, takes on PTN fished under dries and on olive emerger patterns. Epic evening rise around 9pm but couldn't work out what they were taking, seemingly not interested in any of our offerings.

Tricky fish

Sunny day with a light easterly wind, river at a nice level.

Lots of insect activity all day, but very few fish rising.

Spent too much of the day trying every dry in the box, before switching to the duo and catching a few.
