Very wet! One trout caught. I have fished this part of the Irfon a few times over the years, the path along the edge of the river has become very overgrown.
Will be back next year.

Fantastic beat offering a huge amount of fishing. We fished from 11 - 7pm and only accessed half the beat. Water was a bit brown after all the recent rain + showers throughout the day. Most fish taken on nymphs with the occasional spider. Some decent sized brown trout (biggest 1.5 lbs.) as well as some smaller fish, all returned.

River was coloured after the week of rainfall we've had, and looked around 1 to 2 feet higher than normal conditions. 2 trout were caught out of the lower riffle/rock section just below the church both fish were caught using Czech nymphing duo style largest of the two approx 10-12 inch. Another fish was lost at the net just above the mentioned section in the slower slack water this was caught on an olive klinkhammer. And many other fish were seen rising here but inaccessible due to the difficult wading.
3 fish were caught approx 1/4 mile above the measuring station just above the rocky rapids area where the water is slack. All 3 fish were caught casting to rising fish but all caught on spiders fished on duo setup. Largest fish weighed 2 lb 13oz (brown trout). Many other fish were lost further up the river in the section of rocks with the grass sections in the river. Very difficult wading in places and a wading staff would be advisable, lot of areas require a bit of scrambling to get down to them but definitely worth the effort.
Will definitely return in better conditions

One 6" trout. Late afternoon. Dry fly. Otherwise no fish about to speak of. Disappointing.

Not a good day: night before had a terrible thunder storm and plenty of rain. The river was in flood and like chocolate. Arrived at 7 am walked the beat till 12pm no sign of letting up. looks a good beat thou, will try again.

A bit early in the season. There was little sigh of life with the briefest of hatches around 1 pm. The river was up a touch and the water very cold. Did move a couple of fish swinging a March Brown.
