Lovely beat but like most rivers the Wye is in need of some rain. Very low and clear. The banks are a bit dodgy , the ones at the upstream end are probably the safest. The lock on the gate was broken. When we left half the gate had fallen over and the sheep were loose in the road. Alyson informed.

Another tough morning on Rhosrhydd - 1 fish but very few fish showing in poor conditions with no breeze and very bright. Drove over the Blaenmelindwr in the afternoon - again nothing in the flat calm. Tried Llyn Syfrydrin for a couple of hours and found fish in the ripple with more fish from the gate to the far end of the lake pulling wet flies - saved the day!
