3 anglers fished. Beat well kept and easy to walk down from parking and all along stretch. Some swims not so easy to fish but there is a lot of swims that are. Barbel and chub caught on small pellets. And one shad on meat.

Could do with some platforms or cut outs of bank if possible so all swims are able to be fished, overall a good beat and would recommend.

Fishing Passport Note : The banks of the Wye (and Usk) are protected as a Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs). There are, therefore, strict limits as to what can be done with regards bank access for angling, which has to be done sensitively and in compliance with the law.

fished from 5.30pm till 7.30 water low ,did have a couple of nibbles from small trout and lost another rising small trout. Just on a variation of small dry flies, nice couple of hours spent in the Llanthony valley

Fished the evening searching for fishing fish, found a few and had 3 nice browns up to about a pound on small emergers and midge. Lovely varied beat and saw a few larger fish showing that won the trout chess game today - I'll be back! Many thanks to Barrie for his advice and encouragement ?

River did not seem to be in good health, which is a shame as it could be an excellent stretch of water.

Fished only in the afternoon ,2 brown trout caught using small white nymph and coloured wet fly.

Nymphs only as there was very little hatching and no fish on the surface.
Two very fine Usk fish in our catch.

All in nymphs as no rising fish to be seen.
