Wyastone Lees is unfishable. Well we arrived early. The river downstream from the car park is basically a slime weed multiplication facility. About 20” deep, even wading out, it’s slime city. Nothing by 1130 so walked off.

Second day after Monday and much hotter. Fished in bottom peg, from mid afternoon, in fast water below natural weir. 9 barbel to 8lbs and 13 chub to 4lbs. Water temperature showed 24C on my thermometer and a couple of barbel took a while to recover, so packed up early. If this weather persists this would concern me.

As usual as of late another warm day but only decided to fish the evening . All fish in great condition and all well rested before returning . Disappointed to see one of the magnificent weeping willows decimated on the far bank but I’m assuming it must’ve been diseased as it certainly wasn’t just trimmed back! Usual baits & tactics. Again only one set of canoes went past which is a bonus on this shallow stretch. Hopefully get some much needed rain soon!
