Spent the afternoon on this beat as I’ve never fished it before and I must say that it’s a hidden gem. The Irfon was still running a little high and the water was pushing through so swinging nymphs what’s the order of the day. Picked up 2 reasonable grayling and one OOS browning.
A nice afternoon and I’ll be back when the water is running at a good pace

1 Trout, 2 Grayling

My first time on this lovely beat; 3 hours of fishing around midday. Cold and overcast with a bit of colour in the water. No surface activity. All fish caught on self tied (barbless) tenkara style full bodied flies, fished upstream and across and downstream as an emergers. All takes were very aggressive. One of the trout was a lovely 16" and one of the grayling 14". I look forward to returning to the beat.

3 Trout, 2 Grayling

Cracking day out in beautiful countryside on a nice easy beat but no fish caught or seen. Fished top to bottom trundling heavy nymphs through several very inviting pools and runs. Very mild afternoon and stopped for lunch near bottom of beat watching the long slow deeper flats section but nothing rising. Tried a dry red tag back upstream anyway and revisited the deeper runs and pools with team of nymphs again but grayling elusive for me today.

3 Grayling

River high and coloured. There were 3 anglers not 1 but page doesn't let me correct. Only fished for 2 hours, wading not feasible, used French leaders and weighted nymphs.

Due to weather conditions the river was difficult to fish, water was running through fast and rain came in from the East in the late afternoon. That said it is a beautiful spot and we will return when the weather conditions are better.
