Chub fishing on maggots, and 1 nice Barbel came along.

2 Barbel, 4 Chub nice few hours spent on a wonderful stretch of the Wye. Large Pike causing some problems in the swim.

Enjoyable day on left bank. Difficult to find accessible swims but there are enough when you look. Dog spike advised. Caught nice chub very early and thought a good day was in store. However all quiet then until mid afternoon and I was thinking the flow on my peg maybe too slow. However had two bites……….lost them both???? ( did I say I haven’t been doing this long). Third bite straight after and into a lovely strong fighting barbel which made my day!

Another great day at this beautiful venue, and a great lunch at the Saracens Head. 7 Barbel to 10.12 and 2 Chub.

River was completely different to September after the recent rain, it was pushing through hard. Found a nice spot, with a 3oz feeder fished not far out, and pellet as hook bait. All fish came morning and late afternoon 7 Barbel, 2 just under 10lb and a single Chub. A great day had on a stunningly beautiful venue.

Nice venue and a beautiful day, just the 1 Barbel 8lb 2oz with 7 Chub.

Not the most peaceful of days, lots of walkers, bikes etc. But a nice days fishing 3 Barble to 9lb 2 and 1 Chub.
