Excellent day as ever at Lyepole. Fish were going for dries all day. Best of the bunch caught on the top part of the beat past the bridge in the deep pool, rising to a March Brown upright. Beautiful!

Really hard days fishing. Perfect conditions, two big hatches not a single fish seen or caught. Threw the kitchen sink at them but to not avail. Beautiful setting will go back later in the season and try again.

Tricky fishing as the river is quite narrow surrounded by lots of small trees and some high banks in places, that said, this is wild fishing so if you want manicured beats perhaps try the River Test.
Didn't see any fish rising even though I had a couple of May Fly resting on my jacket at one point. Tried a variety of dry flies with just one take that I missed due to me admiring the scenery at the time !!

First time here. Bright and cool with river flow fast and clear. Used Klink and Dink Duo to catch eight grayling mostly in the early morning . No surface activity at all. Lovely quiet beat although quite a lot of climbing over fence Stiles and barbed wire fencing along most of river bank .

Just a quick hour in the river, nothing rising so fished upstream nymphs. Netted 2 Grayling to a pheasant tail. Hooked and released a couple more.

River was at 1'5", dry all day and quite sunny in the afternoon. Was hoping on that basis to see some fly activity but only the odd olive and two rises seen. All fish on either a grhe or P/T nymph. Pair of mink as bold as brass - lots of remains of their mini lobster lunches too.
