Fantastic day on this consistent section. Fished pellet feeder and meat with fish right from arrival at 7am. Had 12 fish by 10.30am. Then the canoes turned up on mass and bites slowed down. 18 of the Chub were in the 3 to 4 pound bracket. No sign of the barbel today. River was very low though. Left at 4.30pm with a big grin on my face.

Fished the swims at the top end of the beat which seemed to be full of Chub. Majority of fish caught on meat with the rest on pellet. Best Chub 4lb 9oz. Weather sunny but not to hot with the river level still low.

SM had 48 chub and 1 Barbel using feeder tactics with red pellet best bait. SG had 37chub using float/ feeder combo with pellets. MH had 12 chub and 3 barbel to 5lb wandering top and bottom fields.
Weather hot and river low.
