A very pleasant day on the Creel where we found the fish feeding on the far bank using pellet and feeder tactics.

After a very misty start and river running low and clear we managed a chub and barbel from a swim just after the gate in the second field, the river was still dropping so we decided to move to the swim by the wooden steps where we caught chub and 2 barbel. All of these were to pellet and feeder, heaviest chub was 2/15, barbel 6\5. All together was pleased due to falling flow.

3 Barbel, 2 Chub

River in good condition and fished well all day despite the hot weather. Misty start in the bottom field just past the gate, had some barbel and chub including the day's best barbel of 8.06. Moved mid afternoon to the "steps"swim by the first gate again a mixture of barbel and chub. The barbel here were generally smaller including a 2lb fish. Method was ledgered pellet or 12 mm boilee with pellets in PVA bags.

As usual with this beat a very productive day.

11 Barbel, 10 Chub

Biggest barbel 9.4 and best chub 3.10 with a mixed bag of approx 20 other.

2 Barbel, 6 Chub, 20 Other

The river was still in fine condition coloured but dropping, it was a hard day 2 of us didn’t get a bite all day. CS caught 3 Chub to 3lb 2. Thanks Wye and Usk

Barbel to 9.8 and chub around 3lbs-1 eel and about 11 dace etc.

The river’s in flood so no fishing today!

Caught two barbel early on as the river level was rising. Things became very difficult after that with everything (including trees) flowing down the river accompanied by very strong winds once again!! Finally gave up at around 3pm as river had already risen by 1.8 metres and was still rising.
