River running very fast with lots of weed following the rain. River was falling and really good colour. Bolt rig with 2nr 14mm Halibut pellets

Hot and sunny. Other was a dace. Hook pull on a Leviathan that I didn't see. Big barbel or perhaps salmon or carp.

Another disappointing day.The spate peaked at 1.3 m on the Ross gauge in the five hours I was fishing and several swims were inaccessible. The weather was largely cloudy and very warm. The bigger chub was around four pounds and gave a good account of itself so that was some consolation for the absent barbel.

Very disappointed that no effort had been made to make any swims. It's a few years since I last fished this beat and it looks like no attempt has been made to clear the bank. Luckily we caught a few chub so the day was not a complete disappointment.

Nice afternoon/evening fishing. Weather was really kind. Caught a some good fish but was slow going. Wonderful to be at Creel again.
