First time fishing this beat and very impressed - a lot of water to go at with some lovely fly stretches, Terry was very helpful and ghillied me into the fish - a cock salmon 82 cm x 37cm which took a Scandi Sunray on sink 2/3, gave a good account of itself and swam away strongly. Friendly helpful fellow fishermen completed a very pleasant day on the Wye in the spring, helped along with some cider from the farm shop!

Fabulous conditions to be on the water this Sunday morning Great result from beat 5 Loxters right hand bank with a superb fish for Mr Sprinter and a good fish lost by Stuart Smith from beat 3 in the afternoon. The beat had been fished through quite well by Tim Kelly and Jim Cummings in the morning but the fish succumbed to the fly after the well deserved perseverance. Fish seen on beat 1 but no offers.

Wonderful mornings fishing, on the fly down the beat, perfect take; 20lb+ / 45" long, large girth. Mr Ward has the fly. Returned to the water; safe and sound.

Lovely spring day's fly fishing. Great to be out seeing chub cruising, trout rising and the swallows returning. Caught a 14" trout on the last cast of the day.

Great conditions this week end. Fair weather and the water clear with a good flow which is holding well enticed a few rods out. Alastair Campbell hooked and lost a fish on the Island stream on beat 3. The fish straightened out the hooks on his shrimp fly. In the afternoon, Stuart Smith saved the day with a 12lb fish from the gravel bar on beat 4. Plenty of good trout taken and all returned.
