Fish did not seem very interested after very hot day the day before. Very little showing. One small grayling on blackish nymph fished deep.

It was a hot day on arrival late morning and we were expecting it to get even hotter but the fresher weather moved in earlier than forecast so it was a warm afternoon and a cool evening. There were even a few spots of rain. The fish seemed to like the pellets today and came steadily throughout the afternoon until it went quiet around 6pm. All were in superb condition.

Lovely stretch, had nothing out all day but very well kept and was welcomed by club member/land owner. Great pub to stop off at to finish the day, stunning scenery. The wye never disappoints for looks

Arrived to find the swim that has produced some good fish for me in the past taken. Beat four. Despite moving beats and trying different areas blanked,( crossed Whitney Toll Bridge four times !)
