Fast flowing river. Pace a little slow. Swim feeding with ground bate and halibut hook bate.

Water up but dropping. Good conditions but difficult to get a good safe swim. Slippery bank. Fish came in the morning then quiet in the afternoon.

Tough day.. .river v clear and weather bright & sunny.Lovely beat .....will fish it again in better conditions

Water level quite low and dropped throughout the day. Fished using feeder and hair rig. Not many bites but did manage to catch three small chub. Difficult fishing with so many canoeists during the morning (only passed between 10-12). Had some difficulty in the afternoon/evening with passing ducks and swans bumping the line. But it is a lovely stretch - was a pleasure to be on the bank.

As a angler with health problems I struggled here today where the normal angler won’t have. Besides that I found a nice swim with a gully that gave up some nice perfectly formed barbel and chub plus a eel of 3+lb
