Fishing levels have dropped to a reasonable level although another 1.5 ft would of been better whilst fishing on Llanstephen Sunday, clarity of the water was around 18 inches. Fished where it was possible to cast a fly, didn't expect much with the height of water and clarity tbh. Fished most of the beat with only a couple of small taps to the fly.
Finished and went to have a look at the Rectory beat, met a couple of nice fellers at the hut and had a good chat, the hut has been broken into with the pad lock hanging on the door. Nothing seen..

Quite a bit of flow in the river today. No grayling caught but that was probably down to my poor Euro nymphing technique! More lessons are needed!
I did see a good salmon near the waterworks, however!

Area:Upper Wye
Beat:Llangoed & Lower Llanstephan
Fishing:Trout (River)
No. of Anglers:2
We fished just for the morning in the upper section only. The river felt faster than two weeks ago. Studded wader boots were a big plus.
2 Trout, 3 Grayling
