River perfect, fished lower beat, fish to 1.5lb all on dry, no fish taken.

Dry fly river very good hot sunny day one small fish lower beat.

Heavy rain washed off.

River slightly up 6-8 inches. All fish caught on dry fly, none taken.

No fish taken rising river.

River up to a foot dropped back to 6 inches perfect, plan to nymph pocket water for couple hours and dry fly fish in evening. Started well with 3 quick fish, then went into missing take after take, often hooking for a second, then losing fish. Just not sure what happened really tentative takes. Dry prooved no easier with few rises demanding excellent prersentation. A win for the end of season trout. Loved it.

There was some insect activity but very little rising.
All the fish came to weighted nymphs. The result of the previous nights torrential rain arrived at around 2pm bringing the river up about 6 inches in 30 minutes, fascinating to see but pretty well put an end to the fishing. As ever a stunning beat to fish with the early signs of autumn in the leaves. Will look forward to being up here in the spring.

Only started fishing late (about 7 pm) caught one 12 inch fish on a dry fly.

Evening hatch didn't happen, lost a couple on nymphs.

Day started with a rather blustery morning, but things settled around 2pm. A couple to the dry fly, but eventually the sun became to much so switched to nymphs in the deeper channels which was a good choice. A lovely days fishing.
