No fish caught but had a lovely day anyway

All on a nymph, very few fish rising.

A very pleasant couple of hours spent on this beautiful beat. Very hot and sunny. A few takes from the broken water, but no fish landed this time unfortunately.

Incredibly beautiful beat, but too hot for the fish today...a couple of biggish trout took nymphs in the fast water but shook off. Apart from that, very quiet. There was a rise starting just as I had to leave at 8.30pm. Caught a glimpse of an otter.

A stonking hot day, all day and into the evening. Two fish only fell to a Tups, I blanked myself, well done mate.

Fishing was hard very few rising fish as very little hatching so persevered with the nymphs.

Mixed days fishing with little activity on the surface despite the good conditions. Had several fish mainly on a GRHE fished in the faster water.

Conditins were good, including the water. But only small fish seemed to be feeding up to 2pm when I had to stop, both on the surface and on nymphs which I was using.

1 wild brown trout, around 14 inches long, caught from the broken water at the bottom of the first field - on PTN flashback fished duo below a Adams Klinkhammer. A number of bites missed from the flats higher up the field. Lovely beat - planning to return soon for another try.
