I only fished the late afternoon/evening, the water was very low and much of the river looked very unpromising.
Took a grayling in the first run which buoyed hopes and focusing on the moving water with a dry and tiny Mayfly Brassie I was able to do quite well under the circumstances. Tricky casts under the trees to reach the moving water made for interesting fishing and I think that I enjoyed this the most so far because each fish was well earned. I can see the potential of the beat with a bit more water in it. I also suspect that a number of fish may have dropped back downstream due to the low water.
Nothing much hatching, but the brown trout all readily took the dry and the grayling all came to the nymph. The grayling seemed to fight harder than the ones I took on the Wye, despite the disadvantage of not having much current to assist them.. Lovely afternoon's fishing. Again thank you for making this possible..

Very, very low water. We concentrated on sections of the Beat that had a flow through them and managed to secure some grayling. The only trout we saw were the ones we spooked whilst splashing around. Fish were taken using very small nymphs and spiders - all returned safely. A tough day, but a really nice beat to spend a day on.

Water was very low for the time of the year. Downstream of the beat was better fishing.

River extremely low and with water very clear, making approaching fish tricky. Little surface activity through the day. 3 brown trout (to 12 inches) and 2 grayling (to 12 inches) caught, all in good condition. Lovely varied beat in beautiful countryside. We plan to return again, hopefully with a little more water in the river.

The Irfon was showing its bones today, bright sun all day on crystal clear water made it tough going, no significant hatch to speak of and only rising fish were Grayling. Just nice to be out there though, as AB said, "nice fishing, bad catching". Nil return.
