Fished the afternoon here. Glorious sun into the evening. Many rising fish about a third of the way up the beat. Decent hatch of sedge had the fish excited and active, rising consistently all afternoon. Three beautiful wilds came to the net, the largest being maybe 1/2 lb - all super fighters. Fished caddis, and at one point they went nuts for a sparsely tied cdc. Beautiful stretch of river.

Tough fishing on a lovely beat. Only two trout caught on a beaded nymph. Very little fish activity not a great fishing day but a very enjoyable time on a beautiful beat.

Spent 90 minutes till dark and had 5 fish decent hatch of very small olives. A size 20 IOBO did the job.

Fished an hour or so before breakfast, no fly life.

All caught in the last couple of hours. Cracking evening, best fish 2lb.

River very very low but some rising fish in last hour or two of light.

Great bit of river - but a mixture of hottest day of the year and lack of ability drew a blank.

Water low, fished for salmon in likely runs & pools for a hour or so without any sign of salmon so switched to downstream fishing for trout and caught and released 4 nice brownies within half an hour on a BH Hares Ear nymph in the water just above the bridge at Llangynidr. Stayed at Llandetty Farm for 2 nights but would not recommend it.
Thoroughly enjoyed 4 hours on the river at Glan-yr-Afon.

Not helped by hours of heavy rain the previous night. Little sign of rising fish or fly life. No fish caught - but still a beautiful beat.
