Cold, wet and windy. Very accessible beat all round. Plenty of variety. Given the cold and wet conditions there was a reasonable amount of fly life - yellow mays, ldo's, blue duns. 4 wbt caught and returned. All between 12" and 15". Two taken on dries, two on nymphs. Given the conditions (10c / 18mph easterly wind) we went home happy.

Nice day fishing. Upstream runs are by far the nicest part. It's quite a long walk to get down past Llangoed pool. I expect there are good fish in the gutter below there but I couldn't find them.

A lovely day on the fishery, albeit a bit wet at times. Decide to try for the pools bream, on worm and feeder. Ended up with a bag of roach, two nice sized bream and a welcome 1lb plus perch. Great stuff. Many thanks WUF.

The rain didn’t stop flies hatching. All types from enormous march browns to little small upwings were out and the trout responded. But they were not interested in anything smaller than a size 12. A frustrating day for missed rises but managed 2. Such a lovely beat with so many good looking areas it’s a job to know where to start!
