Lots of tiddlers. A nice quiet stretch. I cleared vegetation to a few spots but much of it is only suitable for those of good balance and who are happy fishing in fairly uncomfy positions.

Tough few hrs in the middle of the day on this fairly wild beat - though better access than last time- thank you. Owner and Wye and usk and luggsmouth owner so helpful in sorting out parking and track issue - now much easier. For red bank parking use the corner on the track at the ds end of the beat.
Meat or corn on float and feeder for the chub. Lack of weed on the beat though there is a bit at luggsmouth.

An extremely disappointing first day of our three day fishing trip. The swims were completely overgrown and inaccessible. With thistles, brambles and stinging nettles creating impenetrable, precarious routes to the river level, which is very low at present. This is a serious safety hazard and after a brief risk assessment and the fact we are both elderly gentleman (66 & 68) it was deemed unsafe and unfit for us to fish.

River at least a foot lower than my last visit. Session started well, with most fish caught before 1pm. Two Chub of. 5lb on cheese paste everything else on meat.
Bites dried up as the sun came out and only one chub during the afternoon.
Left around 5 when the fishing may have improved
