Good day. Plenty of decent sized chub 10+ . No barbel unfortunately but I think may have lost one ...by the screaming take....! Bit of a trek to bankside. Travel light or have a trolley to assist. Accessability very limited unless you have mountain goat in your blood!! River and scenery beautiful as ever...good to be back on Bankside again.....OH!! WHOEVER WAS THERE IN THE LAST COUPLE OF DAYS ,TAKE YOUR TESCO PASTA CONTAINERS ,EXPIRY DATE 17/06/22 HOME WITH YOU!!!!!!

Travelled from oxford, searing heat made the day uncomfortable with only 1 chub for our efforts.
Sadly the old weed bed that the carp loved is no more to be replaced by pebbles with a coating of brown crap, I’m Guessing this is because of the chicken farms.
There are plenty of chub in the lower shallow sections but no way to get to them because of the steep banks and overgrown foliage, maybe if the Wye and usk could get it cut back a few times a year the fishing would be better and worth the £53 day ticket price.
Sad to see this beat in such a state, I would avoid in favour of beats with more flow.

Hot and sunny with low flow at the top of the beat and a lack of decent swims at the bottom made for a tough day. Not a great beat. Will not be back.

Only one barbel mainly due to the river conditions-unable to hold bottom with 5oz leads.

Good days fishing but as stated before the banks are dangerous and need attention.

Plenty of Chub but the Barbel failed to show. Nice beat but a bit of a trek from the car parking and some very "challenging" swims, take some climbing rope!!!
