First time on this beat thought we would give it a go we fished the roadside downriver of the parking. Two mini barbel about 2lb each and lots of small chub mostly around a pound from bottom of stretch. Saw other reviews mention a gravel bank but water too high to see that but think that was where we fished.

Nice stretch but wild and seems under fished as the access to the upstream area is challenging lots of brambles and trees to waterside and could not see any fishable spots apart from outside the house and wasn't sure you can fish there so didn't. Downstream just a few places fishable due to high water maybe better when lower water level.

2 Barbel, 17 Chub

Not the best conditions. River rising and charging through. Lots of debris and tree branches and trunks coming down. Then the wind and rain. Hey ho - it is November. Chub were small. The other 2 were roach. I met Stefan who was very helpful. Thanks Stefan Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

2 Chub, 2 Other

Tried a mixture of methods, baits and swims but very quiet all round. Saw a couple of salmon jumping and plenty of wildlife but the fish were elusive!

1 Chub

Fished the shingle beach on the right hand bank at the end of the beat without success. Scrambled down to the croy further up and were rewarded with couple of barbel (8 lb?) and a chub in the rain.
