Brutal day as water low and so hot. Chub were active - started at lunch and all came on float fished corn or pellet. Couldn’t get through them to any barbel - who I suspect are sulking somewhere! Packed up at 4pm as the thunder started! Awesome beat, as always

Ridiculously hot weather which seemed to affect the barbel fishing but some decent chub obliged. Nice to chat to Colin again and full marks to him for continuing to carry out maintenance work on the fishery in this heatwave.

River very low and temperatures very hot. Caught fish early before heat set in. All on pellet.

First time on this well managed and picturesque beat. Many thanks to Barry who I met for giving me some of his local knowledge. Enjoyable day fishing on the float catching 13 chub. Spent the evening roving on the feeder and catching 3 barbel late on

River very very low so fishing not easy. Not much flow. Canoeists and swimmers (!) all ok

Great fishing on a perfect day. River very clear. All fish on the float, mostly from the croys.
