good day on the small chub on feeder with maggots but the other rod on the big baits didnt touch a thing all day the other two rods kept moving around and i think had a few barbel on normal hali pellets so you never know !

A hard day on the Wye, all fish on the pellet, had a job to find the barbel. Just one showed any interest.

Unfortunately a blank for 2 anglers. Fished upstream section trying 4 or 5 swims. Tried variety of boilies, pellets and meat. Not even a chub. Were a couple of Otters active though. Bailiff Stefan thought these were the problem. Shame as looked great stretch with good access and roped pegs etc. Be prepared to lose some gear in last peg upstream as very snaggy.

What looked to be ideal conditions turned out to be a hard days fishing, caught 1 barbel at 7lb 11 with what was going to be my last cast, had another few casts but no more bites

Fish fell to meat on the lead and meat and bread on the float with Chub to 5lbs., two Barbel and several decent Chub lost to hook pulls. On a gorgeous autumnal day with what appeared to be near perfect conditions can't help feeling that we under achieved somewhat but still a very enjoyable day on a wonderful river.
