Another lovely evenings fishing, two barbel on pellet and straight lead........

2 Barbel

I had a morning blank until Stefan the bailiff arrived to check my ticket and then very kindly walked the lower part of the beat with me and offered some solid advice on tactics and where the fish might be holding up. Armed with this knowledge the afternoon was much more productive with 4 barbel all over 5 lbs gracing the net along with 4 good chub. The largest barbel was pushing 10lbs and the best chub was a solid 5lb fish. All fish were in spectacular condition and fought hard. A big thank you to Stefan for the advice and polite manner in which he checked I had booked the session; I very much welcome the management and policing of beats in this way, it surely benefits both the anglers and landowners.

Wonderful evenings fishing 5 barbel and 2 chub. Biggest barbel 9lb 2 oz and chulb to 5lb plus.

Lovely beat, steps and ropes such a nice touch especially after an evenings rain.......

Fished the top end ledgering and caught all fish on meat and pellet
Weather was showery and the river was low
