Beautiful clear day with no wind. River still brownish and running fast making wading challenging in some places. Wonderful day out, sadly with very little activity.

Tough day for all who fished this beat. Had to search out the fish and tried 3 different swims for 4 fish. On each occasion a move resulted in a fish in the first hour then no more bites

Slow. Very slow. Great conditions, but nothing until late afternoon. 2 decent chub and an 8lb Barbel. A muddy parking area and muddy yomp around edge of field too, so understandable not booked out regularly.

Mild morning, river with a good pace and a hint of colour. I fished 3 different swims on the waterworks straight, using all my standard fish catching methods and baits that normally work , without a bite. Still a pleasant day and Paul had a good one at least.

Great day on the river. Not for the feint hearted. Lots of walking. But we persevered & found fish. Barbel to 8lb. And some.really big chub. Limited swims. All on the feeder.
