Tricky day for the three of us. Wye was up and banging through. Water 11.3 deg (flush of cold rain coming through). Had to fish inside margins and therefore only limited number of swims realistically fishable (approx 6). One of us tried some pike fishing but nothing doing. We all fished for the barbel (I also had an hour on the maggot feeder with a bite a chuck from dace and chublets). Barbel were not really interested. Had a couple but feel they were chance captures by landing a bait on their noses.

River high and coloured, showery day, caught all fish using straight bomb and meat

Rising river again today but that didn't put the Barbel off, we caught 29 Barbel best fish PB Wye Barbel 11lb 6oz.

Great day, we have all been waiting for it to rain and it was perfect... level up 4/5 feet, great colour in water. Started with x2 doubles, finished with 7 in total. Ranging from 6lb to 10.4lb..
Love it!!

River rising quote fast, no bites at all

Only two anglers fished. Banks were wet and slippery and became a little dangerous in the bad weather.
