Tough day with the heat and people/dogs swimming all along the beat.
Would avoid if it’s warm as it’s very busy there with people enjoying the water and you are limited to the bottom end of the beat.

Fished from 08:00 til 13:30. Started at the bottom of the beat and worked my way up to the bridge. Fish were topping for the first two hours consistently but would not take anything I put in front of them, no obvious fly life around to match other than some tiny black gnats which I couldn't match for size. dry and wet fly's no good. Switched to a Red Neck PT nymph and had a bite but after a couple of spectacular jumps this came off. River was low and wadable along the whole length, a couple of waist deep pools needed to be worked around. Great venue just a poor show from the fish on the day, will be back. Dog walkers were a bit of a pain.

Tough going today. Saw plenty of rises throughout the day and a variety of hatches. 1 chub on dry and one out of season grayling on nymph is faster water. Could do with some rain. Suspect I was spooking most pools.

Decent hatch but managed to move nothing apart from a small chub. Gusty headwind made things tricky.

First time I’ve been back to this beat for about 4 years I think. Conditions good but fish not interested. We Tried dries and and nymphs. No surface activity despite regular hatches

A brief mayfly hatch started to move fish but most of the day was very quiet in low water conditions.
