Only one swim fishable (right next to a generator which started at 6am!) as there was a wedding taking place with huge marquee in the downstream field and they were using the "beach" all day. Very hard fishing on the feeder and caught all fish trotting pellets. Too hot to fish between 11am & 6pm so went back to my digs for a much needed kip. Beautiful stretch but not an enjoyable day sadly.

This report for 2 rods.
River very very low and dropping. Croynes on the beat looked like the ribs of a skeleton. Weather hot and sunny so we knew it would be tough!
We tried the beach towards the bottom of the beat into the faster water but no joy. We ended up in the deeper water under the pump braving the noise and fumes until it was turned off at 16:00. It does seem strange that water can still be extracted all day by a massive diesel pump when the river is so low. We ended up with two Barbel of 6 and 7 pounds.
If you are fishing this beat remember to put your wellies on before you arrive. Access means you need to wade through cow poo, even in the hottest driest weather.

Just one barbel of 8lb 12oz and one nice chub between us. Lovely stretch but like everywhere else needs a couple of feet of water. Best feeling of the day was when they switched the pump off, which is right next to the best swims. Really look forward to our annual peaceful week on the Wye, don't expect that racket. Big thanks to Kieth for his help.
