Lovely river beat. Very windy day which made the upper pools (near the pipes) hard to fish. No fish caught, due to a late delivery I was off Tungsten flies, which I believe could have made a difference.
Good day by the usk either way.

Weather was better than expected but quite tricky due to strong will and only a short lived hatch of March Browns

Cool breeze, overcast day. Very clear water. Some fly hatching but the only rising fish seen were a few small fish in the shallows. One pull all day, no fish caught.

Guided a gentleman – it was his first time fishing this beat. A very cold, strong NW wind all day – we did see an impressive MB hatch around 1pm, but the fish didn't switch onto them. My client managed 2 trout (both approx. 3/4lb) swinging spiders.

Beautiful warm sunny morning with just enough cloud coming in to be promising. Nothing rising early on so fishing the bottom half of the beat with a streamer and duo. No takers. Some sporadic oncers in the main bridge dry fly flat from what seemed like decent fish, but very spooky and wasn’t good enough to get a rise to our flies. Some hatches of LDO’s and March Browns throughout the afternoon but didn’t see a rise outside the main bridge flat.
Nothing caught but lovely day out and river looked fantastic.
