i am submitting this for my brother who caught one fish in the morning and lost a good one also. he was fishing spiders downstream with nothing to report after lunch

Wall-to-wall sunshine doesn't generally make for the best fishing conditions, but was nonetheless welcome. Especially good to see newly arrived house and sand martins. Occasional March Brown and LDO but otherwise little hatching. Six brown trout to 12", mostly on nymph. All returned.

Litttle insect activity all day but managed to coax 5 fish up to 1.5lb on small olive dries.

Weather fantastic, light breeze, sunshine and clouds - Great Days fishing 3 WBT caught 10", 14" and 17" - 1 on spider, 1 on Adams and 1 on GW and 3 lost - Should have bagged many more fish however over indulged the previous evening and recovery was very slow.

River in spate and coloured. By 5pm it had dropped to 2.5ft at the gauge in Brecon. Water clarity 15cm. Decided to have a go at about 17:30. Fished the slacks for an hour and managed to pull 3 out on the bugs! All fish returned.

1x 9" Brown taken on a beaded hares ear nymph just below the bridge.
Small hatch around middle of the day, lots of fish rising but couldn't get anything on a dry.

Cloudy cold day with a slight breeze. Water clarity was excellent with a strong flow. 3 WBT on deep fished nymphs in fast water and 3 on small dries in a sparse hatch.

Arrived at 1pm, sparse intermittent hatch of large dark olives, fish rising without any real feeding pattern, all fish caught on a dry fly
