Road to the reservoir is terrible it is full of dangerous and deep pot holes , could have damaged my car, not acceptable .

Was an enjoyable day even though conditions was rough with a very strong wind too strong for fly fishing so we used worming techniques landed two rainbows both was under 2lb also caught six perch of about a lb weight

1 brown trout - returned. Strong NE blowing so challenging conditions. Found a few spots to get in the lee and then the sun was very warm.

Spent all day walking around the entire reservoir trying different spots.
Caught 1 brown trout on the fly which I returned, Conditions were difficult with a very strong wind so no rainbows caught.
This reservoir can be great on good days but would welcome WW introducing a 2 fish ticket to minimise the £ lost on difficult days. Spent £20 on a four fish ticket and rod licence for the day to go home empty handed, I had 2 similar blank days at the Usk last season. Becomes expensive and makes you reluctant to go fly fishing which is not good for the sport.
Access road had lots of bad potholes. Considering the season had only just opened there was a lot of litter along the banks left by some fishermen in the worm area which spoils the location .
