Warm but very blustery and overcast with driving rain most of the time between 12.30pm - 4.15pm. A couple of bites on bubble float/worm near ticket booth but none caught. Too windy for fly casting. Nothing on spinner.

Fly fishing, water very low.

Me and my Dad had a great day and caught the trout on a spinner and worm with a float.

Blustery to dead still, lots of fish porpoising/showing when still. Overcast to broken cloud - warm water temperature. Fished 11am - 3:30pm. Nothing on the fly rod but 5 Rainbow trout (1-2lbs in weight) on multiple garden worms (on a size 10 hook) 5 foot under orange bubble float, 12lbs main line to 30cm 4lbs hook link. Lots of additional bites and nibbles, fishing 5-10m out from bank. Returned 3 fish. Kids thoroughly enjoyed safe and easy fishing near fishing permit booth/car park end of reservoir.

Fished fly from 4pm till 8.30pm. Complete blank. No fish seen rising, not even at dusk.

Rainbow trout using a ledgered worm in the bay opposite the damn. Was a little annoyed at the picnickers throwing stones in near where I was fishing.

9 stock rainbow and a really nice wild brown trout.

1 fish only, on Hare's Ear Nymph. Far too much water given over to Wormers in my opinion. They seem to hogg the same spot all day.

Fished both banks from 9am until 3.30pm on both fly and spinner but only caught one 2lb rainbow between both of us. A disappointing day in a favourite location. How often is this water stocked?
