Water level very high, limits some of the usual places to fish, especially with fly. A few fish rising around midday. 2 rainbows caught and a few small browns.

Spin fishing Usk Reservoir Thursday 04 May 2023. Windy conditions with wave action causing discoloured water at shoreline. No fish seen and no strikes on lures used. I think the trout had gone to the "fish equivalent" of a pub for a pint and laughed at me. But I enjoyed the day.....

Very windy, little shelter from the wind straight down the reservoir. Where there might have been some shelter there was no access. Banks very overgrown with brambles, bracken and willow.
No fish caught.
