The river was on the high side and had a tinge of colour in it. We met Nathan in the morning and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. He showed us the main areas on how to fish the pools. We started with the fly and then focused with the spinner later on as the river was not clearing. It is a lovely beat and Nathan has been working hard to clear the banks. I can see with less water then there would be some lovely bits of fly water. There were plenty of fish moving through the beat but no fish for us as they were running through the beat. A good day out and I will defiantly return.

Great day but no fish - only saw a couple in the evening. Excellent beat and Nathan the ghillie is highly knowledgeable and helpful, especially with my novice guest.

Last fished this beat for coarse fish several years ago, the banks were quite steep then but I was delighted to see how much work has been done.. Steps at the best pools lead to easy wading over smooth gravel. My companion started with fly on Little Run and had a 12lb fish on a Dee monkey.. I started with single hook FC on deeper pools.to no avail. After lunch I changed to fly and hooked good fish again in Little Run. After several minutes the hook pulled. Nathan was both helpful and knowledgeable and is not afraid of hard work judging by the improvements to the access. "A work in progress" is how he describes it

Lovely day, despite a snow storm in the middle of the afternoon. Fish moving but not taking. Nathan is an excellent and well informed guide, not only that, he has a fine sense of humour, always good on a day where the fish don't want to come to the fly....

15-20lb Spring Salmon from the Little Run on a Cascade Tube Fly. Four Seasons in one day!
There has been a lot of hard work done on this beat since my sole visit last year - access to the bank is now very good and there are clear signs and entry points for the named holding runs and pools. The Little Run is a fabulous piece of fly water with fish showing all morning.
A big thank you to Nathan the Ghillie for his great advice, tips and enthusiasm and for letting me shelter in the cabin from the snow! First class.
