A good day, lots of fish jumping too.
Persistence required today, with the feeder having laid plenty of bait through the day bringing the fish on later in the afternoon.

Great day. Found a feeding shoal of Barbel and spent the day trying to get them to take my bait..! They were quite weary of everything with a hook in it, but I managed to fool a few lovely fish. The others were all eels which seemed to be hanging out with the Barbel.

Great day on this lovely beat. Loads of big chub - several in 5lb bracket for DC the chub king. Most chub and one barbel came from a swim near to the top of the beat about 100 yards below the Croy. Mix of baits/methods took fish but most to trotted luncheon meat or cheese. River was very low and it was hot so great day of fishing given the weather was probably not perfect.

Day started slowly but we worked a couple of swims and fished them in rotation. The fishing slowly improved throughout the day due to continued feeding. All fish were taken on trotting tactics. Most chub 3-5lb and barbel 5 to over 8lb. Cracking fights on float gear.

Plenty of obliging chub up to 3.5 pounds. Fished close to the upstream limit of the beat in a deeper pool just above the riffle. Luncheon meat took most of the fish

Had a great day on this stretch. First visit and I will definitely return. The swims were easily accessible and in good order. Took fish from 5th and 6th swim on feeder tactics with trimmed cheese and garlic boilies. Lost 2 decent fish. Lovely surroundings and had the pleasure of seeing a couple of Salmon jumping

First cast nice chub over 4lb, thought this was the start of a great day to come but only knocks and touches after that, despite and overcast day and seemingly good conditions.
Regardless of the catch a great day and a well looked after beat. Pegs strummed to make access and fishing easy. Not a big job to do but a great thing to have done. Thank you for however took the time as I will be back on here gain to try for more.
