Never fished this length before and wouldn't do so again under high water conditions. A combination of several feet of flood water and high overgrown banks meant there were very few fishable swims. One rod took 9 barbel from the best of the fishable spots the rest of us had to scratch about in a couple of unappealing swims for 3 barbel between us.
By far the most disappointing wuf length I have fished to date. Non of the barbel caught were over 7lb.

Had a fantastic day. Thought it was going to be a bit of a struggle, river was high and very coloured. I fished one swim and had 9 barbel. Very happy.
Very well run fishery, keep up the good work. 1 more thing the walk up the hill is a killer but well worth it.

Very high and coloured and river still rising. Neither of us had a bite all day - and it rained until 6pm.

Always enjoy my infrequent trips to the Wye and my first visit on this water was no exception. Its a bit daunting after negotiating the steep walk down to the river and then becoming like a mountain goat to climb down to the waters edge. As I was on my own and never saw another person all day it was very wise to be extremely careful. My first choice swim in the first part of the stretch quickly produced a couple of medium sized chub and a lost barbel but despite many changes of gear the swim just died. I moved up the first field into steady water and here found some barbel willing to feed and took 6 fish up to 7.2.0. Thought I was going to bag up but then this swim also switched off. Should have moved again but I was worn out with all the climbing up and down. Catching method was straight lead, 10mm Ellipse pellet .with 4 mm feed in a PVA bag. River lower than I would have liked and quite clear which probably explained the switch off when you caught a few. Saw several salmon leaping which is a good sign. A good day, well worth the 100 mile trip. This section not recommended for the unhealthy. Although getting on in years I keep fairly fit but the haul back up the steep slope had me really puffing and the day after some pretty sore thighs from hauling me and kit up what appeared to be a mountain. Thanks WUF. Good service. Online booking was straight forward Roll on June 16th. Hope we have plenty of rain.

Two pike to double figures. Another great stretch. It would have been nice to have fished a full day but had to leave early because of the weather.

The internet service was great and very easy to book our tickets. Please keep up the good work.
One fish was caught: 12lb 4oz pike on a lure.
The scenery at this location was fantastic but we were disappointed at the lack of access to the river from the bank. We found only 2 locations, one at the start and also the build out at the end of the beat. “Plenty of spots to access the water” is an inaccurate statement for the average angler.

Instructions on the website, of how to get to the beat and the extent of where it is, before you book the tickets would be helpful to assist in judging the beat’s suitability through viewing Google Earth. WUF NOTE: as preferred by owners, beat limits are not given out prior to making a booking - if you wish for a more detailed location of a beat please contact the Booking Office on 01982 560788.

We had to rescue a drowning sheep by hauling it up a steep bank at risk. It would have been helpful to have a contact number for the owner of the land in case of an emergency.

We will be using your service again.

A nice mild overcast day, with the river carying about a foot of extra water. We started in a nice looking swim a couple of fields upstream of the brook, and fished for three houres for one bite (which I missed).
We then decided to move back downstream to a couple of swims in the slow steady water below the shallows (about half way up the first field). This made an immediate difference, with a nice barbel within ten minutes coming to Lukes rod. We finished the day with four barbel between us, all caught on pellet, weighing around five to seven and a half pounds.
