The river was just above summer level, but the water clarity was poor compared with when I fished here last year.
The fishing was pretty slow, but still managed a couple of barbel and a few chub.
Feeder and pellet tactics.

2 Barbel, 9 Chub

Lovely place but clearly hit by water quality. Just began to get it right towards the end. Large numbers of eels seen leaping in the shallows. Others were eels

Only one place to fish. Very bad directions as to which side or left ir right u can fish as signs all say private.
Really think someone needs to visit and up date instructions as 8 years is a long time. The white gste is no longer white.

Day 2. Fished 7 to 11, luncheon meat for 2 chubb. Returned 6pm fished till dusk, 3 chubb on meat, lost a much more powerful fish, almost certain a Barbel as different take compared with the chub. River dropped 18 inches today.

Fished 9 to Noon, River coloured and rising, tried several baits. No fish caught. A few canoes. Returned 6pm and fished to dusk. 3 Chubb, biggest 3lb 7oz. Cheese and Garlic boillies.
