First time at the venue. The location is really nice but we were a bit disappointed in the amount of swims to choose from. Realistically I’d say you had a couple to choose from and the water wasn’t even that high yet. Could be a better summer venue possibly when you can sit out on the gravel at low water or trot a float down. Fishing very quiet so packed up early

Hard work today, river looked good but water temperature had dropped by a couple of degrees. Tried various methods and moved to different swims, but no Barbel and just a couple of chub.

Tried both sides, tried both top and bottom end of the beat, in close, half way across, far sides, big baits, little baits.... just a few knocks and a stick for my troubles.
Packed up when a cormorant popped up right over my bait.

River still in flood, due to Storm Ami, alhough levels slowly dropping. Right bank fished better than left bank. Flow from above the Foy bridge hugged left bank making many swims unfishable in the conditons, mainly due to accessability. Slow day fishing, with one angler blanking. Thats fishing! Very quiet location, this time of year.

3x barbel caught (5,6 and 7lb). Really nice spot. River coloured and had lots of pace following recent storm. Though fishable along the bank. All fish caught on Luncheon meat.

Fished the bottom pool LH bank in tough conditions river low and clear and howling gale with rain. Just two bites and two fish all day both very good chub over 4lb. Pellet and hemp in open end feeder with various hookbaits. Hard going, maybe the recent rise might help.

Not the best of days to fish the river. With the storm arriving to coincide with a 2 day trip to the wye. This beat has been good to us with 26 barbel and maybe 50 chub over 3 previous sessions in the summer. Total blank for both of us. Fished until 12. Until steady heavy rain pushed us off the river and into the pub. How caple court tomorrow with a rising river and 50 mph winds. You wait for weeks to fish this great river....but you cant control the elements.

Beautiful stretch but a much slower day than yesterday on the Creel. Water is fast and shallow and it was nice to catch on the float. Fished both sides but found the left hand side to have better access and more swims.
