very hard day river in flood.luckily I had just purchased a 2.25 barbel rod , I needed it to land a 7lb barbel and 2 chub. licked the swim but not conditions. thanks for a good day in adverse conditions

Another difficult day with the river over 4 metres high and rising. The river was only 18 inches below the very top of the bank. Only one real swim to fish at the very end of the stretch on the road side. The opposite bank was too exposed to the elements of storm Gareth with extremely high winds. Only fished for around 1.5 hours due to fast rising river.
Only one chub between us of around 2lbs caught on flavour soaked boile.
