No fish caught today. We used maggot feeders and ground bait feeders. River was fast and 3ozs feeders were washed downstream, unfortunately I didn’t have anything heavier so had to fish in the slack water close in.

Arrived at Foy Bridge to find a fair amount of water rushing through which was a touch surprising in view it had not rained heavily up in the hills over the past couple of days.
Fishing was really slow here and not much of a return for our efforts and a reflection of our limited ability!!
But....there is always next year to improve...

I’ve had some great catches at Foy but new it would tough with the water so low and clear. Trotted maggots for a while then headed for the pub.

First time on this short beat, river is still low and clear so not ideal. Unfortunately did not bring float rod which would have been better suited to this beat. Did try free lining bread and meat for chub without success, but another beautiful day on the Wye
