Fished for most of the afternoon- River was very low, no fish were caught, no bites either- tried feeder fishing

Another great days fishing at Sugwas. I had my doubts when I arrived as the river was very low and very clear, with bright sun on top of that.
However, after finding quite a deep spot behind the shallows we got into a few.

2 Barbel - 7lbs, 9lbs
6 Chub up to 4lb
3 Perch

All fish caught on feeder/pellet.

I booked for me and a family member for his 80th birthday. Swim wise, from past visits I had a certain swim in mind which I knew was more accessible, so we stayed put there. I had a quick look at the orchard swims with view to bait up as a backup, but would say these are basically unfishable now as heavily overgrown. A little clearance in one or two spots at orchard area would be great if possible.
Great days fishing, still one of my favourite WUF beats. My family member was over the moon with a 9lb Barbel PB for his 80th.

Another lovely day on this beautiful beat. Great parking area in the middle of the beat and lots of areas to fish even in low water conditions. Many thanks to the landowner for the ropes, which make getting into and out of the pegs so much easier. Biggest barbel was around 7Ib.

Arrived at 7-30 weather misty river same level and colour as Tuesday baited swim and waited for 30 mins barbel first cast a further 2 barbel before 8-30 then sun rose above trees and bites stopped rebated swim and left for further 30mins then 8chub and 1 more barbel followed at intervals until I left at 2pm.Same method and bait as Tuesday.

Alittle more of a difficult day, today. Took time for the fish to switch on, but between us we manage a few.
SG had 2nice Barbel and SM had 1 nice Barbel and a load of chub.
Nice day, smelly dead Salmon on the edge giving off a horrendous stench.
Hinders pellet and Hinders Big Cheese doing the heavy lifting, along with groundbait.

A bit of Balsam sporadically along both banks
River still low from summer, lots of algae in places.
Several trout spotted though

Not as much water as I remember from the last time I fished here, nothing rising so used a tiny gold head hare on the bottom and a klinkhammer on top and started getting tiny bites, just the one small grayling caught
