Only fished for 2hrs - nil catch.

Our first trip to this lovely stretch of the Wye, however with water on and muddy banks from the recent floods there were not many swim options available and the water was still quite fast on the near bank. We managed two Barbel, the largest 8lb 4oz both caught on heavy feeders.

Conditions looked good, river high with light colour but cold frost on ground.

1 Barbel, 2 Chub

River was charging through. Approx 4 feet from the top and rising steadily. Fished hard for one barbel each, both 8lbers.

River had come up over night making accessing the swims difficult. I had 9 barbel and my mate had 1 and a chub.
Fantastic stretch of river that would benefit from a bit of tree clearance being carried out.

River in need of a good flush through, we managed 2 barbel each but it was hard going in beautiful surroundings.

Weather conditions mild and perfect, rained hard the day before, everything ready for a bumper fishing session! Didn't catch a thing, didn't even get a bite. Tried everything, pellet, meat etc, moved swims and I've fished it before with great success. Nothing, but that's fishing. Will be back to try again.

Number of fish caught 0, hope to be back next spring.
