Same stretch from previous day
overnight rain conditions fair , another 5 chub in the morning with 6 later on in the Evening biggest around 5lb …. No Barbel.

11 Chub

An early Barbel from the top beach, about 6lb, on ledger, then a few small chub on float. Home for lunch then tried the lower section into evening, one 4lb barbel at last light and a few small chub on the feeder. Not an easy beat, very overgrown, the owners should clear at least a few swims. Bring a rope and watch out for the Giant Hog Weed, it’s everywhere. Overgrown and hard fishing.

Water very low managed 1 chub just shy of 5lb loads of small chub and lots of Dace the dace were all realy decent size fish whilst the barbel didn’t want to show there face due to being so hot it was nice to get down the wye again. swims still very over grown but we managed ok. back again for some more very soon

We block booked this beat for three anglers and despite the low water levels, 75% of our catch was caught by one angler.

Didn't fish. Couldn't get down to any of the beat, total over grown. Barbed wire over the fence between the fields on the fence.

Beautiful stretch albeit difficult access as no swims or paths had been cleared. It was the hottest day of year so we did expect it to be difficult plus we saw a barbel and chub still spawning in one location.

We caught the fish in the evening in the lower sections.
