Very hot day. Had to rove to find fish, eventually found some feeding barbel at the bottom of the fishery

3 Barbel, 6 Chub

No fish caught and no fish seen other than a small shoal of chub. Water levels low and water difficult to access down steep unprepared banks

A lovely day. The river in nice condition for piking. Only had 1 bite but it was a very good fish, a massive pb and my first 20! I guess she weighed somewhere in the region of mid-20's. Sadly I had forgotten my scales so will never know how big she was but she was roughly the same length as my unhooking matt which is 110cm long!

Couldn't find the barbel but did manage 5 chub one just shy of 5lb. Caught on maggots

First visit to this stretch found it a bit pacy and shallow for this time of year so only stayed 2hrs,will try again in summer

The top end of this beat near the car parking area was largely unfishable with only a couple of pegs accessible, that said the lower stretch past the woods had plenty of fishable pegs, the weather was beautiful if not a little cold first thing!! 2 Barbel were caught so all in all a good day, would like to fish again in the future.

Weather very mild and the river was high and coloured - great day but no barbel on this occasion.
