All fish caught on pellet , barbel showing most of the day in the ‘going swim’ 2 barbel lost due to someone’s old snagged line left in swim (2/3rds across river ) . River very low and slow moving , hard going but lovely stretch.

After two difficult days on the Wye we finally found some fish.
This beat was very difficult, water very low and clear and zero flow but we found a lovely stretch in the top wood with a small gravel beach where there was a decent amount of flow running down a gully on the far bank.

2 barbel of around 6-7lbs and 3 nice size chub between us.

Didn’t fish today after three frustrating days on the wye. Think we need to wait for some rain.

Fishing slow - barbel caught on pellets. Biggest 8lbs 4oz . Very hot

Caught late on using pellets. Best fish 6lbs 5oz barbel

6 small Chubb all in great condition- great day, even though it was very hot.

2nd day on this beat river the same but weather more over cast 8 chub all from top section all on meat and ground bait feeder very enjoyable 3 days for us on to beats
