We struggled. River up and windy, several baits and methods used

2 Barbel, 1 Chub

Hard going. Fast and colored. Some swims to dangerous to attempt fishing but there are a couple where you can get down the bank safely. Single pellet under overhanging trees worked.

3 Barbel

Last day of 4 on the Wye so a short one due to the drive home. River up a metre overnight and a nice colour too. We had two good barbel, and a chub.
Bye to the Wye for now.

Fish not interested. Cold water coming into river will not have helped.

Almost unfishable but found a 10lb 4oz fish in a slack behind a snag. Managed to keep the fish out of the snag.

Lovely venue, good parking, caught barbel from 5 different swims. All fish caught on feeder tactics.

Lovely place, would visit again, with good access. Have barbel in 5 swims on feeder tactics

One large chub caught free-lining meat, several other chub on mainly legered meat or pellets. Two barbel between eight and nine pounds and a third of just under six, all on legered pellets. One good barbel lost when free-lining meat.
