2 Barbel, 3 Chub

Primarily fished the top croy with low water and clear skies. Float tactics using a mixture of meat and sweetcorn.
Directions and parking were good. A 3-minute walk to the first croy, but requires sure-footedness. Many thanks to those that keep this spot available.

2 Trout, 3 Barbel, 20 Chub

Chub caught on meat / wrapped pellet.

5 Chub

Caught mainly on trotted meat - also cheese paste with a feeder. Chub to 5lbs and in great condition.

2 Barbel, 10 Chub

Caught 2 chub on lures in the morning, had to stop fishing for a few hours as there were too many canoes crossing where I was trying to fish. The rest of the day the fish were not biting so unfortunately it was a very quiet day.

No catches as yet today. River very low again. And sunny. Lovely day but struggling with the very fast section holding the bait.

My son I was fishing with caught an eel. Not big about 18 inches. On chorizo cube. On hook. (Branded fishing bait not food shop) was unhooked successfully
And released quickly.

Unfortunately no catches. I fished with my son using cage feeder. Was an extremely windy day so we didn’t fish past midday. Our first time on the Wye. River quite low. And quite fast running I thought. Great location and great parking facilities. And great cafe across the rd. Booking was easy and information very helpful. Maybe worth mentioning it is an averagely steep walk down to fishing spots. Very much enjoyed.
